Fernanda Brunet has developed a painting language of her own, drawn from comics, nature, the human body and sexuality. Working across painting, printmaking, textiles and ceramics, she builds vivid, large-scale compositions designed to pull the viewer out of everyday monotony.

She trained at La Esmeralda (INBAL) and the Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City, and at the Art Students League of New York. Her work has been shown at the Museo de Arte Moderno and Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City, El Museo del Barrio in New York, the San Diego Museum of Art, Art Basel Miami Beach and ARCO Madrid, with solo exhibitions across Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Peru, Spain and Hong Kong.

She is represented in the United States by Front Row.
