Nicolas Ghesquière has been at the helm of Vuitton’s Womenswear collections for 10 years already. This time the powerful fashion house presented its first-ever collection in Italy, to celebrate nature, volume, dreams and of course, luxury.
It all started out by an obvious homage to craftsmanship, proper to the Italians and water, not only was the iconic island surrounded by it, but you can feel it was the starting point of the collection by its first look.
Accessories and bags were key, as much as frightful colors, prints, statement hats and long dresses. Sportswear was still very present and well-mixed with color blocking garments. The last pieces of the collection were key to encapsulate the designer’s vision: a dream, but a living one.
