Nothing compares to Miuccia Prada’s mind, and since Raf Simons joined her at the Creative Direction, the Italian luxury brand has experimented growth in both creativity and revenue. But business aside, this show itself was covered in slime. Both designers have reached a place where they combine their visions perfectly, this time exploring architecture, the body and its structure.
Prada is a trendsetter. So no doubt this show would be in everyone’s moodboards right after. Highlighting bags, oversize sleeves, prints, minimalistic garments and functional clothes, Prada keeps re-thinking, re-imagining and re-constructing ideas about what is beautiful, what are clothes for and its essence. The were looking out for liberation, and this is a gorgeous statement full of originality and thoughtfulness.
