After a really moving/hectic Fashion Month above all, including New York, London and Milan; Paris has closed one of the biggest and busiest movements in fashion and creativity nowadays showcasing shows, runways and events. Here we go deeper into the most important highlights of the week so far:
- Viral moments
It seems to be the thing every brand is looking for right now. Not the money or income increase, but getting everybody, specially the Internet talking, sharing and commenting on what’s going on. A good example could be The Row’s PR strategy on banning cellphones and social media at their show presentation.
- Back to the roots
Almost every brand is playing nostalgic today. From the 60s inspiration and Miss Dior herself at Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Fall/Winter 2024 show presented at the beginning of PFW, to Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent mesh inspired proposal from YSL’s very own archival.
- Unstoppable change
Chemena Kamali has debuted at Chloé with one of the most acclaimed shows of the week, touching the brand’s very own heart and essence, bringing back boho-chicness, Lagerfeld’s take on the Ready to Wear since its creation and femininity; still being one of the few women at the helm of powerful fashion labels, there are more to expect from her, Seán McGirr at Alexander McQueen and more.
- Shows are it
People are craving moments to remember, clothes that tell stories by themselves, scenarios that can live forever in their heads thanks to big moments and shows from the past. Clear references now are Chanel by Virginie Viard, Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquière or Mugler by Casey Cadwallader.
- It’s a Miu Miu world!
Never going back, Miuccia Prada has delivered the most anticipated collection from every PFW, Miu Miu wins it every time building the decade’s aesthetic and its incredible reach in and outside social media. This time with a new interpretation of girlness, embroidery and classic uniforms, the always disruptive brand wins the game again.
